Dive In and Enjoy The Adult Swim Festival

Adult Swims approach to entertainment is aptly described on Wikipedia as “experimental, risqué, unorthodox, crude, dry, and improvisational humor”; this brash and new approach to entertainment was the brain child of Mike Lazzo. And what a child it is; realizing the potential for increasing viewing in the off hours on Cartoon Network, Lazzo, went to work creating content for the ever-restless adult population. The first original series Space Ghost Coast to Coast debuted in 1994, well before the official launch of Adult Swim, September 2nd, 2001. They burst onto the late-night scene with a plethora of raunchy and unique shows like Sealab 2021, Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and The Brak Show. Fast forward 17 years and we are about to witness another first for the once obscure television block, Adult Swim Festival.

The Sad Song Co.'s Worth Album Review

When an artist chooses to write and perform under the moniker “The Sad Song Co.”, certain assumptions about the type of music the artist creates would be perfectly justified and, in this case, fairly accurate. The three albums that have been released since producer and multi-instrumentalist Nigel Powell’s solo project debuted fifteen years ago – miseryguts (2003), Poignant Device (2007), and in amber (2016) – have been explorations of the forlorn and wistful. But Powell sets aside despair for tentative hopefulness with The Sad Song Co.’s new release, Worth, due out February 9th.

Gary Numan's Savage Tour Comes to Pennsylvania

The night saw him highlight tracks that spanned all four decades of his career, but as each song bled seamlessly into the next with only the briefest pause in between, it felt as if they were meant to be played in that precise order.
