Todd Rundgren and Daryl Hall sold-out concert at Hollywood Pantages Theater

Hollywood welcomed Todd Rundgren and Daryl Hall at the legendary Pantages Theater for a sold-out event. Folks line-up on Hollywood Boulevard with palpable excitement to hear some of their favorite throwback hits from the early 1980’s. The eccentric Todd Rundgren is known for his diverse musical abilities as a producer, songwriter, guitarist, and singer. His soulful guitar solos and groovy dance moves made for an epic performance. Backed by Hall’s house band, Rundgren opened the show at 7:30pm with a black rock and roll vest, gray pants, and retro orange shades singing, Real Man. The captivated audience sang along to nostalgic original hits such as Hello It’s Me and many R&B classics like Oh Baby ,Baby.

The Pantages was the perfect venue to host an intimate evening with Daryl Hall. The stage was set-up with cozy twinkle lights dangling from the ceiling with a neon sign that read, “Daryl’s House.” Most famously known as a founding member of the 1970’s pop duo, Hall and Oats,

Hall fans showed up ready to be serenaded. Hall came out on stage in a navy blue suit, a black shirt, tinted glasses, and the best head of hair. He began with charismatic energy singing his 1986 hit song, Dreamtime from the Three Hearts in the Happy Ending Machine album. Over the years, Hall’s voice has aged like fine wine… so smooth and rich. He hit the highest notes and harmonized so beautifully with the other vocalists in the band. Fans danced throughout the isles as we all listened to our favorite throwbacks like Out of Touch and Foolish Pride. The boomers had no problem partying on a Monday night as Hall and his band were ripping it up on stage. Hall’s multi-instrumental talents were on full display as he sang, played guitar, and piano while holding the audience’s attention. Once the lights were turned down low, Hall began singing Sara Smile, I gasped with amazement as the energy in Pantages was at its peak. The evening concluded with an epic encore featuring both Hall and Rundgren sharing the stage singing Can We Still Be Friends.
