Miami Beach Pop Festival - A Multi Genre Rendition
Miami’s spirited and multicultural beaches will be introducing its very first Miami Beach Pop Festival this year. A 3-day festival with headlining artists like Chance the Rapper, Daddy Yankee, Jack Johnson, Kygo and many more on the bill!
Paul Peck, the co-founder of Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival and the mastermind behind Bonnaroo’s very own Super Jam has pulled something new out of his sleeve- An immersive and multi-genre festival that will be taking place on the lively, picturesque beaches of Miami. A festival meant to bring diversity through it’s lineup and attendees while creating a weekend of connection and unity.
Latin artists like Daddy Yankee, Juanes, Natti Natasha, Lali, Brytiago and Rauw Alejandro will be making history on these beachfront stages. It’s uncommon for Latin artists to headline festivals and Miami will be raising the bar by having more than one Latin artist on the bill for its first year! More and more Latino artists will be making their way onto festival lineups and we’re excited to see what unfolds for future lineup releases!
The weekend will also include a “Sol Jam” featuring Nile Rogers and surprise guests as well as a dedication to Bob Marley presented by son, Stephen Marley. These jam sessions are once in a lifetime moments to have artists from different genres share a stage together and just jam out! There’s something magical about seeing such diversity on one stage where artists you never imagined to play next to each other happen to join talented forces and unleash their art for the crowd to see. No rules, just the unmistakable freedom to create; It’s something you definitely don’t want to miss!
CHANCE THE RAPPER
Chance The Rapper will be closing out Miami Beach Pop Fest. as the final stop on his North American tour following the release of his newest album “The Big Day,” featuring artists like Nicki Minaj, Gucci Mane, Shawn Mendes, Smino, Megan Thee Stallion and more. Daddy Yankee might as well be known as the Reggaetón king; especially after coining the word in the 1994. He’s an artist from Puerto Rico that has helped mold what Reggaetón is today; Daddy Yankee has been making music and collaborating with popular Latin artists since the early 90’s. Miami Beach Pop will be the last stop on his tour this year and ending it in Miami seems like the perfect place to do so. We’re so excited to see how he captivates and moves Miami’s crowd through his energetic production and catchy rhythms.
