MoPop Festival Returns to Detroit with an All-Star Lineup
For the sixth year in a row, MoPop will be hosting their festival in the heart of Detroit Michigan. The announcement of their 2018 lineup of the festival happening at West Riverfront Park on July 28th & 29th certainly does not disappoint. MoPop has been no stranger to hosting big names such as M83, Father John Misty, Alt-J, and G-Eazy in past years. The 2018 confirmed artist, announced last month, seems to build off of their past success that will no doubt attract music fans of all different kinds of genres of music tastes. One major headliner that attendees can look forward to is indie folk king Bon Iver, who is notorious for being highly selective in terms of his live performances. On a similar note, The National will also be headlining along with St. Vincent.

The festival also seems to do a great job of embracing up and coming artists. Included on the lineup are Brockhampton, “America’s favorite boyband” who has had a wildly successful 2017 with their own headlining tour, appearances at a handful of major festivals and just recently signed with RCA records. Those who are looking forward to Brockhampton will also enjoy Clairo, who was described by Pigeons and Plans as a “Lo-Fi Bedroom Singer/Songwriter Who Went Viral By Being Herself,” Rex Orange County, who shares the same kind of bedroom electronica vibe as well as electro-pop princess Billie Eilish. The full lineup of confirmed artists can be found in the admat.
Early bird tickets are already sold out, but General admission tickets for the weekend are still on sale on the MoPop festival website starting at $99.50. Don’t forget to grab yours before the prices increase, this year’s festival is surely one that will cause serious FOMO if missed.
