New Order, Janelle Monae, Parquet Courts, and more perform this month at Long Beach’s MUSIC TASTES GOOD VOL.3
On September 29th and 30th, the 3rd annual Music Tastes Good Festival will take place at it’s home of Marina Greek Park in Long Beach, California! This will be the third year of Long Beach’s most beloved festival and the second year since the death of it’s creator, Josh Fischel. Before creating one of the best festivals in SoCal in 2016, Fischel directed Sublime documentary, “Stories, Tales, Lies & Exaggerations.”
Fischel is also respected for being a successful touring musician who has worked with artist such as The Black Eyed Peas. According to an interview in 2016 with Amplify, Josh’s vision for the festival was to “make sure that every community was represented: the Cambodian community, the Latino community, the LGBT community. Everything that we have in Long Beach because that’s what Long Beach is -- a multicultural, beautiful city”. The festival is now ran by his wife Abbie Fischel, who also shares Josh’s passion of bringing communities together through music, food, and art.
This Long Beach fest has a lineup full of some of the best musicians and will also be loaded with delicious grub from some of the best rockstar chefs! New Order, Joey Bada$$, Santigold are just a few of the big names who are set to perform on Saturday, September 29th! On Sunday, we’re stoked to see James Blake, Janelle Monáe, The Black Angels, and of course NY boys Parquet Courts close out the unforgettable weekend! These monumental two days will feature guest chefs of diverse backgrounds underneath The Taste Tent. Everyone, not only VIPs, but ALL ATTENDEES will have a chance at chowing down some delicious culinary samplings by the hands of the most talented and praised chefs and restaurants. Bring an empty stomach and expand your tastes buds to new flavors and don’t be afraid to pair your grub or music with the beer and wine that will be pouring all weekend long!
