The Punk Rock Bowling Festival

The Punk Rock Bowling Festival firmly established itself as THE festival to attend in Las Vegas.  Yes, there is actually a bowling tournament!   Its origins run deep in the punk rock comminity having been started by the brothers Shawn and Mark Stern, founding members of the legendary LA based punk band Youth Brigade.

For the past 20 years, the PRB festival has definitely carved out a distinct niche with the music and  comraraderie...attended by a variety of age groups who were on hand to experience some serious punk rock.

This years line up easily exceeded all expectations.  With over 60 bands playing around downtown, there were a more than a few highlights.  Suicidal Tendencies, The Mighty Mighty Bostones, and NOFX to name a few, along with a trifeca on Sunday night with Against Me!, followed Punk legends X and winding up with some crazyiness from At the Drive In.  

The slam pit was Hot and the vibes were cool...and Punk Rock was the star of one of the best festivals in Vegas.
