COIN: the “Great American Rock Band” kicks off The North American Tour in Florida

COIN, the self-proclaimed “Great American Rock Band”, kicked off their tour last week with three back-to-back Florida shows. The line to get into The Beacham felt like a family reunion. COIN had sold out the smaller venue next door only 8 months earlier so the return to Orlando was long-awaited. The excitement over this tour that had grown online could now be shared in person with friends meeting for the first time.

The audience packed into The Beacham, a venue with the perfect balance of intimacy and impressive crowd size, as anticipation for the opening act filled the air. The Aces, an all-female Alternative Indie band brought the crowd to life. The Utah band radiated pure positivity and a passion for live music that set the tone for the rest of the evening.

Shortly after The Aces wrapped up an electrifying performance, COIN began their set with unreleased song “Growing Pains.” Lead-singer Chase Lawrence was eager to interact with the audience as passionate fans sang along to the unreleased song.

The setlist was an incredible mix of fan-favorites and songs that are not often played live. From a stripped down performance of “I Would” to energizing hits like “Talk Too Much”, the setlist perfectly captured the wide-range of music that COIN has released.

COIN’s North American Tour is truly a showcase of how the band has grown since 2012. Easily one of the best performers touring right now, it is clear that COIN is not done growing. This tour is full of vigor and enthusiasm for music from both the crowd and the band. This is a tour that everyone should want to be a part of.

COIN’s new song “Growing Pains” comes out this Friday. Follow their Twitter for more updates.
