SWIMM: Los Angeles, Love, and Sentimental Porno
All kinds of emotions flood in as the day draws in closer and closer to June 5th, the release date of SWIMM’s first full length album ‘Sentimental Porno’! This brand spankin’ new album will feature SWIMM’s most freshly favorited tracks ‘True Romance’ and ‘Kim K’. The entire arrangement brings to light topics of individuality, sexuality, social media, and of course life in Los Angeles.
Vocalist Chris Hess and drummer Adam Winn formed this charming indie duo back in Florida but have since made a move to Los Angeles. SWIMM has definitely made a name for themselves since moving to LA by putting together some of the most original and DIY shows. Their sense of humor, strong dedication to their craft, and live performances are the top reasons you’re going to want to listen and catch them live. Good hair isn’t their only superpower, they are also brilliant songwriters. SWIMM often create comedy and irony through writing about modern experiences, social conventions, sex, and hypothetical situations that often include celebrities. Their lyricism is so intricate and imaginative that they’re not only great songwriters but incredibly creative storytellers.
So many SWIMM fans from Miami to Los Angeles have been waiting for this full length album! Following the release of the album will be a few groovy California shows featuring some other great performances by talented local LA artists! June 21st, catch these quirky boys of SWIMM and The Fontains at Teragram Ballroom! After that you can also see them performing at the Levitt Pavilion with LA’s it-girl WINTER!
You can Pre-order ‘Sentimental Porno’ here! Limited editions 12” album is available for pre-sale and will definitely be selling out, as each one is one-of-a-kind COLORED vinyl!
