Aloe Blacc and Fitz and the Tantrums 'Man On The Moon' tour live at the Pacific Ampitheatre

 

ALOE BLACC

Aloe Blacc performed a Summer concert at the Pacific Ampitheatre in Costa Mesa, California on Friday, June 25th. Blacc stepped onto the stage in a stylish dark blue suit and his excited audience stood up and applauded. On stage, he was accompanied by various music artists, supporting the artist on vocals, the keys, drums, bass and electric guitar. During the show, he provided insight into his musical career, mentioning that he had recorded music with the artists, Pharrell.

Also, Blacc informed the audience that for him the genre of music was not important, what was important was the theme of music. He stated that sometimes his music is categorized as Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Dance, or Pop. Blacc’s theme is represented by the acronym, ‘A.I.M.,’ which stands for affirmation, inspiration, and motivation. He wants to create music that represents the soundtrack for living one’s best life.

During his concert, Aloe Blacc performed his popular song, 'My Way,’ which he stated was for the dreamers. He informed the audience that the theme of the song was love. Blacc asked the audience to think of someone who made them smile. He asked them to shout their name at the introduction of the song and send them love.

Aloe Blacc continued to engage with his fans and shared his musical background. He informed the audience that he was inspired by artists such as James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, and Elton John. He sampled and turned Elton John’s song ‘Your Song,’ into one of his own song, ‘The Man.’ In addition, another song that Aloe Blacc sampled was Sammy Davis’ track, ‘Candy Man.’ He took the melody of the song, went into the studio with Zedd, and recorded his hit track.

During the concert, he performed a cover song by the Mamas and Papas, ‘California Dreaming.’ He also shared a story from his early tour days that when his daughter who was eleven months joined him on tour; she brought him good luck by inspiring his songwriting process. She took her first steps during one of his concerts and he was inspired to create the song, ‘Wake Me Up,’ which he performed live. Blacc invited his two children onstage with him and they announced that their father would be signing merchandise after the concert. FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS

Fitz and the Tantrums are currently on tour with their latest album release, ‘Man on the Moon.’ The record was released on July 25th and features fourteen tracks. The group began their tour on July 24th at the music venue, Humphreys by the Sea, in San Diego, California and will continue their tour throughout the Fall. Their tour finale will take place on October 24th in Sparks, Nevada. During their Orange County, Fitz and the Tantrums performed various songs from their new album such as ‘Ruin The Night,’ the album’s self-titled track, ‘Man on The Moon,’ ‘Oh Maria, ‘Umbrella,’ ‘Young Days,’ and more.

Lead singer, Michael Fitzpatrick, also known by his stage name ‘Fitz,’ shared that the group originated from Los Angeles and were grateful for their musical career. He mentioned that in their early days, the group barely had enough funds to purchase gas to tour and perform local shows in California. He shared his gratitude that the group can now share their music and perform live shows nationally and internationally. The group performed a lengthy set of new songs and classic tracks.

Fitz and the Tantrums were overjoyed by their audience’s adoration and enjoyment during their concert.
