Beach Fossils and Nation of Language Tour at Revolution Live

NATION OF LANGUAGE

Nation of Language, a dynamic synth-pop/indie-pop trio based in Brooklyn, New York, captivated the audience at Revolution Live on April 18th, opening for Beach Fossils. The band, comprising Ian Richard Devaney (lead vocals, guitar, synthesizer, percussion), Aidan Noell (synthesizer, backing vocals), and Alex MacKay (bass guitar), kicked off the night with an exhilarating performance that set the stage on fire. Ian and Aidan's electrifying synergy on the synthesizer brought an infectious energy to the stage, while Alex's pulsating basslines anchored the band's sound.

Their set was a whirlwind of sonic exploration, featuring crowd favorites like "Weak in Your Light" and "The Wall & I." As they danced and swayed across the stage, their energy was palpable, igniting a fervor in the audience that swept through the venue.

BEACH FOSSILS

Beach Fossils, a celebrated dream pop band originating from Brooklyn, took the stage next, greeted by an already pumped-up crowd. Led by Dustin Payseur, the band's evolution from a DIY solo project to a four-piece ensemble has been nothing short of remarkable. Their latest album, "Bunny" (2023), showcases a fusion of their signature dreamy sound with new elements drawn from their earlier works, such as their self-titled debut album (2010) and "What a Pleasure" (2011).

With Tommy Davidson on guitar, Jack Doyle Smith on bass, and Anton Hochheim on drums, Beach Fossils delivered a mesmerizing performance that spanned their discography. Tracks from "Bunny," including "Don’t Fade Away," "Dare Me," and "Tough Love," resonated with the audience, while classics from albums like "Somersault" and "What a Pleasure" elicited nostalgic cheers and sing-alongs.
