LANY Goes Super Far in Calgary And Sells Out Their Headlining Show
LANY is an up-and-coming band based out of California. The band was formed in 2014 by members, Paul Klein (vocals), Jake Goss (drums) and Les Priest (Keyboardist / Guitarist). The band started out by posting two songs on their soundcloud, “Hot Lights’ and “Walk Away”. Shortly after that they released their first EP which had gained a lot of interest from their hit song “ILYSB”. Since then the band has been increasing their popularity and this past June they released their first full album.
Since discovering LANYs music shortly after the release of their first EP in 2014, I have been lucky enough to see them perform live three times and photograph them once. The first time I was able to see them perform was when they opened for Oh Wonder in 2015, they also opened for John Mayer in 2016, and then I photographed them on their headlining tour in Calgary, Alberta on November 12th.
LANY puts on an incredible live performance every time I have seen them, they have a wide range of lighting, instruments, and interact frequently with their audience. I would recommend to see them perform live at least once. I guarantee Lany will be selling out arenas all around the world one day.
