Lita Ford rocks the Showroom at the Golden Nugget!
Seeing Lita Ford as a part of the Showrooms 52 Fridays Concert Series was as incredible as it gets. Not only is she a gracious person, she is a kick ass guitarist and performer. The Showroom is such an intimate venue and being up close and personal with Lita and her band was such an amazing experience.
At the age of 16, Lita joined the all girl band The Runaways and recorded their first album in 1976. Soon after, conflicts began within the band, which followed their breakup in 1979. Lita started her solo career and her popularity began to accelerate.
After hiring Sharon Osbourne Management she developed more of a pop-metal sound. Her self produced album "Lita" was her most commercially successful album and featured numerous singles including her duet with Ozzy Ozbourne. In the mid 1990's she scaled back on her music to raise her 2 boys.
After her hiatus, Lita returned to the stage with a new band and a new album. The album "Living Like a Runaway" was released in 2012 and was more similar to her earlier sound. Her most recent album, "Time Capsule", includes older music from the 80's which features artists such as Gene Simmons, Dave Navarro and Robin Zander.
Fast forward to 2019, seeing Lita perform so many of her hits was a once in a lifetime experience...a concert to put on your list and not to be missed!
