OK Go brings the 'Love' during their California tour of their new album, ‘And The Adjacent Possible.’ '
OK Go have returned this year to bring new music and their innovative music videos. The group are currently on tour sharing the new album, ‘And The Adjacent Possible.’ The group are touring through Southern California. OK Go will be performing two nights at The Bellwether in Los Angeles, California on Friday, May 16th and Saturday, May 17th. The group performed in San Diego County at The Sound on Wednesday, May 14th.
The Del Mar venue was filled with excited music fans from each side of the main and second floor. L.A. Exes are currently on tour with OK Go. The group performed a cover of ‘The Cranberries’ track ‘Linger.’ OK Go stepped unto to the center stage and their musical party kicked off with a stream of confetti. During the concert, lead singer, Damian Kulash, took questions from the audience. An audience member asked if the group missed making music video.
Kulash joked if the question asked because the album and music videos have been released late. He informed the audience it was due to the band was focused on certain aspects of their life. For example, the band members had families, COVID-19 occurred, and Kulash made a movie, ‘The Beanie Bubble’ in 2023. Another patron asked what makes them interested in promoting science education. Damian Kulash responded playfully it is due that they are nerds.
Damian Kulash informed the audience that he fell in love with math and music is math. Another audience member asked what happened to the dogs in their music video, ‘White Knuckles.’ He provided a background that one of the dogs in the video was his dog, ‘Bunny Carlos.’ OK Go kept the audience thoroughly engaged with impromptu sets, audience questions, and constant spurts of confetti thrown into the audience. The group perform a diverse selection of songs from their music discography. OK Go performed fan favorites such as ‘Here It Goes Again, ‘White Knuckles,’ and more!
During the concert, the group setup a large table filled with various handbells of distinct shapes and sizes. The artists lined up in a row against the table, adorning white gloves, and performed a song on handbells. Also, during the night’s performance, Damian Kulash performed new intimate songs on his acoustic guitar in the middle of the crowd. He faced both sides of the crowd and playfully joked that he would be playing quiet sad songs during his set. When he returned to the stage, he debuted the album art of their latest album release, 'And The Adjacent Possible.’ He displayed the album cover and the pop-up art featured in the album which was designed by his friends.
OK Go’s creative music videos are ahead of our time. Their dedication to their craft and artistry is shown in their music video creations. Their kind playfulness, skillfulness, and musicianship are seen during their live performances. OK Go concerts are a good time and family friendly.
