POND and Fascinator brought their Psychedelic Rock parade to the Loft in Atlanta, Georgia
Last week POND and Fascinator brought their Psychedelic Rock parade to the Loft in Atlanta, Georgia.
POND is a four piece outfit hailing from western Australia, and has often shared some of its members with Tame Impala. The band currently consists of Nick Allbrook, Jay Watson (who is currently a full time member of Tame Impala), Joe Ryan, Jamie Terry, and James Ireland.
The evening started out with Fascinator, a symph heavy electronic duo currently based out of Brooklyn. The melodies created by lead Johnny Mackay (previous frontman of Aussie Indie-Rock band, Children Collide) rolled right into one another, making it hazy where one song ended and the next picked up.
Afterwards POND took the stage to an uproar from the crowd. Allbrook performed his signature moves, jumping around the stage and on top of the barrier to the crowd (while holding on to some scaffolding for dear life). The jam-packed audience made POND feel right at home, rapping some of Future’s “thought it was a drought” during the middle of one of their songs.
The night ended as it began: full of excitement, energy, and the burning desire for the show to never end.
