Sleeping With Sirens Bring Electric Energy and Exciting New Songs to Viejas Arena

SLEEPING WITH SIRENS

Hitting the road with Sheffield’s Bring Me The Horizon and Los Angeles’ Poppy, Orlando-based Post-Hardcore quintet, Sleeping With Sirens were in for a packed month of exciting shows as they brought their tour to venues across North America. And for Southern California locals, a trip to Viejas Arena was the perfect way to spend a soon to be electrifying Saturday night.

Following an opening performance by electro-pop artist, Poppy, a tangible energy filled the arena as fans eagerly awaited frontman Kellin Quinn, bassist Justin Hills, drummer Gabe Barham, and guitarists Jack Fowler and Nick Martin to light up the stage with a signature high-energy set.

Having released their sixth studio album, Leave It All Behind, on September 6th, there was a buzz of enthusiasm as the audience danced to the title track, as well as new favorites such as “Agree to Disagree” and “Break Me Down” fresh from the band’s Sumerian Records debut.

However, in addition to the seven new tracks, Sleeping With Sirens still had plenty of microphone swinging and mosh pit inducing hits to come. “If You Can’t Hang” and “Tally It Up” from 2011’s Let’s Cheers To This, were clear winners with the crowd, and cheers erupted as the Gold-certified group capped off their performance with 2015’s hard-hitting anthem, “Kick Me.”

For fans who cannot get enough of Sleeping With Sirens’ live shows, there will be plenty more opportunities to rock out and catch the band on tour as they make their way throughout the United Kingdom and Europe this November.

Make sure to pick up tickets to see Sleeping With Sirens on their headlining run, and follow the band on social media for tour updates and upcoming releases.

BRING ME THE HORIZON

Last to take the stage, were British metal icons, Bring Me The Horizon

Entertaining the audience right off the bat and opening their set with 2019’s “MANTRA” and latest signature line “Do you want to start a cult with me?,” front man, Oliver Sykes, drummer, Matthew Nicholls, bassist, Matt Kean, guitarist, Lee Malia, and keyboardist, Jordan Fish, ensured that the headline performance was off to a quick start.

And whether it be dancing across the stage with matching jumpsuits and Sykes’ dual colored contacts, or interacting with facemask-clad backup dancers, the band certainly kept their energy up throughout the entire set.

Fresh off the release of their United Kingdom #1 album, Amo, earlier in the year, Bring Me The Horizon seemed especially enthusiastic for the opportunity to pull from the entirety of their vast discography. For whether it be the Electronic Rock sounds of 2019’s “Sugar Honey Ice & Tea” or the screaming chorus of 2015’s “Happy Song”, the group was able to both highlight their range and please fans of each “era” of their music.

In fact, this was so much the case that after the band wrapped up their last track, chants of “One more song!” were enough to bring the quintet back for two additional encore favorites. And with Sykes hopping directly from the stage into the pit to interact with fans during “Drown”, it’s easy to see why Bring Me The Horizon is loved by fans in the Metal, Electronic, and Alternative Rock community.
