The Kills and The Paranoyds kick-off their North American Tour at The Observatory Orange County

 

THE PARANOYDS

Los Angeles Rock group, The Paranoyds, performed their first tour date opening for The Kills at the Observatory Orange County. The group were ecstatic to be part of The Kills’ North American Tour this Spring 2024. They performed riveting Garage and Surf Rock songs that featured powerful guitar solos and commanding vocals. The group performed a track that was an ode to Orange County titled, ‘I’m JK,’ which jokes about life in the OC. They performed songs from their most recent album release, ‘I Like It Here’ which debuted in October 2023.

The Paranoyds features band members: Staz Lindes, bassist, Laila Hashemi, keyboardist, Lexi Funston, guitarist, and David Ruiz, drummer. The Paranoyds will be touring Spring 2024 with The Kills, for more information on upcoming tour dates, visit: The Paranoyds.

 

THE KILLS

The Kills returned to the Southern California stage since their sold-out concert dates at The Mayan in Los Angeles: The Kills sell out two nights at The Mayan during the Southern Californian leg of their tour. Band members, Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince, continued to be creative on their break from touring. The group worked on their album ‘God Games’, which was released on October 2023. Mosshart had debuted her photography at a Los Angeles art gallery to promote their Los Angeles tour dates in 2022. Also, she worked on her solo music and Hince went on tour with Iggy Pop.

Audience members arrived early Friday afternoon at the Observatory Orange County for an opportunity to grab a front-row spot of the show. Fans were excited about The Kills long-awaited return to the stage. Devoted fans mentioned they would be following The Kills on their upcoming tour dates throughout the West Coast.

The Kills stage setup was sleek and classy featuring a glittery copper curtain backdrop. Before entering the stage, the background music abruptly stopped which brought the viewers’ attention center stage, shortly after Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince walked upon the stage to their microphone stands. The group formed in 2001 and have been gracing music listeners with mesmerizing Bluesy Rock music over the years. The Kills debuted songs from their latest album, ‘God Games’.

The Kills also performed classic songs such as ‘Baby Says,’ ‘Black Balloon,’ ‘New York,’ which made their fans elated. The Kills will be touring various dates throughout the United States through March 16, 2024. The group will be kicking off their European tour on May 1, 2024 in the United Kingdom.
