Mika Lights Up LA's Orpheum Theatre on His 2026 “Spinning Out” Tour with Flair, New Music, and Nostalgic Hits

The Orpheum Theatre pulsed with energy as Mika brought his 2026 “Spinning Out” Tour to life, delivering a theatrical, emotionally rich performance that blurred the line between Pop concert and stage production. The “Spinning Out” tour is Mika’s biggest headlining run yet which spans Europe and North America.

At the historic Los Angeles’ Orpheum Theatre, Mika leaned into the full spectrum of his career, blending new material with iconic hits like ‘Grace Kelly,’ ‘Relax,’ ‘Take It Easy,’ and ‘Happy Ending.’ The set was designed as a journey—colorful, unpredictable, and deeply personal—reminding fans why his music has remained both playful and emotionally resonant for nearly two decades.

One of the night’s highlights came when Mika performed ‘Good Guys,’ a song from his 2019 album ‘My Name Is Michael Holbrook,’ inspired by a gay bar in Costa Mesa. The Pop track, envisions a 1950s underground space of liberation and fantasy, was given new life on stage when Mika shared the background story of the song. A person who had previously worked at the real Costa Mesa gay bar, connected to the inspiration behind the song, was present in the audience—adding an unexpected layer of emotional resonance to the live performance.

Another standout came with “Immortal Love,” Mika’s heartfelt tribute to his 16-year-old golden retriever, Melachi. Released in December 2025 as part of his upcoming album ‘Hyperlove,’ the song reflects his long companionship with his dog, who has been a constant presence throughout his creative life. The performance brought a quieter, more intimate moment to an otherwise high-energy show.

Mika also shared glimpses into his creative process, revealing that he wrote around five albums during his time living in Los Angeles. He described how inspiration often struck while driving, with melodies and lyrics spontaneously forming in his head during long stretches on the road. That sense of motion and spontaneity echoed throughout the concert’s pacing and arrangement.

The audience reflected the global reach of Mika’s music, with fans traveling to the show from Las Vegas, Japan, Orange County, and San Diego to witness his live performance. The atmosphere felt like a convergence of cultures and communities, all drawn together by his signature theatrical Pop style.

In a particularly dazzling segment, Mika showcased his linguistic range by performing his track ‘Elle me dit,’ in multiple languages—including French, Italian, Spanish, and English—highlighting both his vocal adaptability and playful connection with international audiences.

As the night closed, Mika hinted at what’s next: his next performance in California which is at the iconic Castro Theatre in San Francisco, extending the momentum of the “Spinning Out” era into new cities and new audiences.

With its mix of theatrical spectacle, emotional storytelling, and global energy, Mika’s Los Angeles show proved once again that his live performances are not just concerts—they are immersive, genre-defying experiences built on connection, imagination, and joy.
