Land in San Francisco for Outside Lands

The annual Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival at the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, California returns this year on August 9th to 11th. Since 2008, the festival has been known for featuring artists across multiple genres of music, and this intersection continues again in 2019. With headliners Paul Simon, Childish Gambino, and Twenty One Pilots, Outside Lands 2019 is not one to miss.

With a music career spanning nearly 70 years, Paul Simon will be headlining Outside Lands. Simon, famously half of the duo Simon & Garfunkel, is taking a break from his retirement to play a special performance at Outside Lands. He will be donating the proceeds to local environmental organizations.

Childish Gambino, much like the festival itself, incorporates several different genres in his music, including Hip Hop, R&B, Indie, Pop, and Psychedelic Rock. As one of the most influential artists of our current times, his set is not one to miss.

Alternative Rock duo, Twenty One Pilots, has exploded since I first started listening to them in 2014. With their latest release, “Chlorine,” their performance is bound to be lively and energetic as per usual.

The Lumineers, a Folk Rock band from Denver, Colorado, is another performance you won’t want to miss. Most recently, they released their EP, Gloria Sparks, telling hauntingly beautiful stories through three new corresponding music videos. These songs will be stunning to hear live.

Country fans will be most excited to hear about singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves performing at Outside Lands. With her successful album Golden Hour (2018), she won four Grammys this past year, including Album of the Year.
