The Take Over with Olivia O’Brien

Olivia O'Brien initially gained audiences' attention after posting a cover of one of his songs on Soundcloud. Gnash reached out to Olivia expressing interest in her material, and asked for her to send him any original songs that she had. Olivia O’Brien then sent a voice note of her original song, "hate u, love u.” Gnash invited her to record the song with him in Los Angeles, which turned out to be a hit and charted on the Billboard Top 10 songs.

Olivia O’Brien opened the show for Jack and Jack at the Culture Room. The venue was packed with anticipating fans from Olivia and Jack and Jack. The crowd was blessed with covers and unreleased songs from the artist. She shared an emotional story about heartache and relationships and encourage others that if you feel in your heart it is not right, than you shouldn’t stay. As she ended with her speech she went on to sing the melody of “I hate you, I love you.” It was a beautiful transition from one artist to another.
