Hanson celebrate '30 years of music' and their new music debut, 'RGB' at the House of Blues Anaheim

Celebrating thirty years of music history, Hanson performed at the House of Blues Anaheim as part of their ‘RGB’ tour. The group were overjoyed to return to the stage post-pandemic, and they commemorated their live music performance by expressing appreciation to their devoted fans. They performed highlights from their albums such as ‘Middle of Nowhere,’ ‘This Time Around,’ ‘Underneath,’ ‘Shout It Out’, and their latest album release, ‘Red Green and Blue (RGB).’ Hanson are currently on their U.S. North American tour promoting their ‘Red Green Blue (RGB)’ album which was released this year. The ‘RGB’ album showcases the Hanson brothers as individual and collective musicians, the songs were written and produced by each brother: Taylor Hanson, Isaac Hanson, and Zac Hanson.

The color schemes featured on the album represent ‘Red’ for Taylor Hanson, ‘Green’ for Isaac Hanson, and ‘Blue’ for Zac Hanson. The album was produced and curated in partnership with Grammy Award winning engineers, Jim Scott and David Garza. Scott is a Grammy award engineer for Tom Petty’s album, ‘Wildflowers.’ He is also recognized for collaborations on albums for the Foo Fighters and Santana. Latin Grammy Award, David Garza, collaborated with Hanson on their new release and has won various Latin Grammy awards and has collaborated with musicians such as Fiona Apple.

The performance was reminiscent of the ‘MTV’s Unplugged series’ as the artists each shared the symbolism and history of the songs before they performed the song live. Prior to the show, audience members signed up for Hanson’s exclusive ‘Meet and Greet.’ Hanson fans arrived early in the afternoon at the House of Blues located in Anaheim’s Gardenwalk for a front-row view of the show and to meet Hanson. During the ‘Meet and Greet’, fans took pictures with the band and brought their Hanson memorabilia for the artists to sign.

Each of the Hanson brothers featured their own individual talents, as they performed their own song solo on stage. Zac Hanson, the drummer of the group, performed tracks such as ‘Penny and Me’ and showcased his musical skills on the bongos and the keys. Isaac Hanson dedicated his song solo, ‘For Your Love,’ to his friends in the audience that were attending the show. He discussed the importance of finding true friends. He also evoked how marriage is about the commitment to a person: physically, mentally, and emotionally. Isaac provided the background of his next song performance, ‘Write You a Song,’ which is about his daughter. He informed the audience that his daughter had asked him why he hadn’t written a song about her and because of her feedback, he wrote the song lyrics, “I’ll write you a song, so you’ll never be lonely.”

Hanson recounted the history of how the group discovered their own independent record label, 3CG Records. They mentioned how they created their record label due to changes in the music industry and difficulties with their previous label. However, the group took the risk and started their own record label and their label flourished due to their committed fan base. With over sixteen million records sold worldwide and top albums featured on the U.S. album charts, the Hanson brothers remain humble in the everchanging music industry and faithful to their singer-songwriting forte.

Hanson will be performing various tour dates in the United States and then continue their Fall Tour in South America. For more information and upcoming tour dates, visit https://hanson.net.
