Rebecca Black & Katy Perry's Once in a 'Lifetimes' tour at Anaheim's Honda Center

 

California artists, Katy Perry and Rebecca Black, are currently on the ‘Lifetimes’ Tour. They performed several Southern California tour dates, performing at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California and the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California. Pop artist, Katy Perry, is debuting songs from her seventh album, ‘143’.' The ‘Lifetimes’ tour celebrates her return to the stage, it has been seven years since her previous concert tour. Perry will be performing 82 tour dates, the tour kicked off in Mexico City on April 23rd. The tour finale will take place on December 7th in Abu Dhabi.

 

REBECCA BLACK

Orange County musician, Rebecca Black, opened the show at the Honda Center. Black felt the warm welcome from the audience and she informed them that this was a hometown for her. She is originally from the area, she was raised in Anaheim Hills. She shared that the Honda Center brought her fond memories and inspired her musical career. She saw her first concert by the Cheetah Girls at the Honda Center which instilled a musical passion in her to pursue music. KATY PERRY

Audience members were dressed in their Katy Perry characters from shark costumes and more. Katy Perry floated unto the center stage in a space vessel and towered over the audience who were in awe. Her live concert was an interactive experience for her dedicated fans. They had the opportunity to vote for their favorite songs from her deep cut discography by scanning a QR code which was displayed on the screen. Katy Perry selected several deep cuts that were entered, which the first selection was ‘Not Like The Movies’ and the second song pick was ‘The One That Got Away.’

Perry shared that she picks deep cuts from her album that fans can select during her tour. She mentioned that the song, ‘Not Life the Movies,’ was about her first divorce. During the performance of both songs, the artist and audience connected through the deep emotions evoked from the melodies and lyrics.

Katy Perry informed her fans about her music history in which she started singing when she was 9 years old. She celebrated her dancers and musicians during the concert. She shared that one of her dancers was also from Orange County, the city of Huntington Beach, and he was dancing for his boyfriend who was in the audience for the first time. During the concert, she picked fans who dressed in their Katy Perry costumes and invited them to perform on stage with her. The excited fans hugged and took selfies with Katy Perry. She handed them instruments and they performed percussion as she sang and performed alongside them.

Katy Perry’s ‘Lifetimes’ Tour is a cutting-edging live concert experience with interactive gaming technology, themes of preserving nature, staying connected with one another, and being present in the moment. Also, the inspirational tour spreads positivity and celebrates women and the LGBTQIA+ community.
