Patrick Retzer Releases Soulful Debut Single “Fade”

Harnessing years of experience spent honing his craft through collaborating alongside artists such as Dalal on various international documentaries, as well as touring extensively throughout North America as a guitarist in the alt-pop outfit, Future Feats, the passion to create innovative material of his own has always been something that local artist, Patrick Dean Retzer has kept “on the backburner” throughout his career.

However, after a recent revelation to “tear down the walls that shelter us from our biggest fears”, this talented artist-on-the-rise is finally ready to share his creative vision with the rest of the music community.

Set for release on September 21, Retzer’s debut single, “Fade” is part of an exciting new solo endeavor for the Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter. The track weaves together warm guitar tones, soulful vocals, and makes it clear that Retzer has no issue tapping into personal emotion and tugging on heartstrings as he tackles the world of soft rock melodies.

Furthermore, a song born from the pain and healing experienced by not only the young artist himself, but that of a close loved one in his life, “Fade” invites listeners to sway along to ebbs and flows of Retzer’s nearly five-and-a-half minute rhythmic journey.

“Emotion is tangible,'' Retzer explained as he reflected on his musical inspiration. “It is something that can be witnessed as well as felt”. And with his first body of work exhibiting such qualities of care, precision, and overall heart, the SoundBite Magazine team can’t help but feel optimistic for Patrick and the continuation of many exciting adventures to come.

Patrick Retzer’s solo project is an independent venture involving no outside production or recording. For information, updates, and more, follow Patrick on his social media platforms, Instagram and Facebook.
