Canadian sisters, Tegan and Sara, toured to Southern California as part of their ‘Crybaby’ tour, which is their first independent release in many years. They performed a show in San Diego and at the House of Blue in Anaheim, California. Their concert series is similar to the MTV series Unplugged where the artists share stories about their music process, history about aspiring musicians, life touring, and other fun facts. Tegan and Sara will continue their tour, performing dates in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and Vancouver.

The Black Crowes headlined LA Forum setting the stage for the return of Rock and Roll

The Black Crowes brought back Rock and Roll music to the Los Angeles’ the Forum for the very first time since the pandemic. The Southern Rock group performed the first live music event at the Los Angeles music venue since the venue’s closure. The night foreshadowed the return of entertainment to the City of Dreams and Angels. The group are currently on their “Shake Your Money Maker” tour throughout the United States. The Black Crowes perform tracks from their introductory album which was released in 1990, and which also ignited their prodigious musical career. The tour is equipped with high octane live musical performances, desirable custom merchandise, and engaging stage layout.

Ariel Hartley of Pearl Earl shares her songwriting process and the fruition of her new side project, Earl Hartley and Thrift Star on SoundBite Magazine. She has debuted her new single release, ‘Dream Crusher’ which is available on all streaming music platforms. Hartley spoke to SoundBite Magazine on how she began writing songs from poetry and learned how to play an instrument one late night with her friend that she met freshman year of college. She also shared how she continued her creativity process through the pandemic on her music projects. Earl Hartley and Thrift Star’s EP will be released on cassette through Dreamy Life records on September 24th.

The Carmics released their track, "Self Control" in December 2019 and have been writing new music since their first song release. Previous to the COVID pandemic, the group were playing shows throughout Central and South Florida. They planned to debut their track, "Kids" at the end of March but recording stopped due to the pandemic. The group continues to write tracks for their upcoming album and are planning to release upcoming singles. The Carmics spoke with SoundBite Magazine about their recording process, favorite records, and provided advice for fellow musicians.

Building off a successful YouTube cover series and exciting debut release, Florida-based singer/songwriter, Cloe Wilder, has once again returned with personal material that reflects both relatable content and surprising wisdom beyond her 13 years.

Released July 19th, and produced by Grammy winner, Jayme David Silverstein, Wilder’s second single “i don’t wanna” is filled with staples of the young artist’s dark/pop style.

A mixture of both light vocals and electronic beats, as well as wooden percussion and acoustic elements, Wilder has come away with an atmospheric and recognizable sound, a good sign for any artist-on-the-rise.
