Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival celebrated its 5th year anniversary in Okeechobee, Florida, attracting music lovers from all over the world. A camping festival geared toward nature, art, music and togetherness. The weekend featured a diverse lineup of musicians across various genres, including indie, electronic, hip hop, and more. This year's festival was no exception, with over 100 artists performing on multiple stages over the course of four days. One of the standout acts of the festival was Miami-based band Clean Cut, known for their unique blend of indie rock and electronic music.

Jimmy Eat World and Dashboard Confessionals team up to co-headline Surviving the Truth Tour 2022

We know the early 2000s era has come back strong and so did some of its music; including emo bands, Jimmy Eat World and Dashboard Confessional, and this time for a co-headlining a three-week tour. ‘Surviving the Truth’ kicked off on February 27th in Albuquerque, New Mexico and the groups performed at the Seminole Creek Casino in Coconut Creek, Florida on March 18th. The outdoor venue was set up for a perfect Summer day to enjoy live music and a cool breeze. The area filled quickly and fans lined the barricades for the evening to commence.

he long awaited Hella Mega Tour was announced on September 10th, 2019 which included March through August 2020 as the original tour dates but was postponed due to the pandemic. However, after a two-year break from tour, the bands finally returned to the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Hella Mega Tour featured live performances by The Interrupters, Weezer, Fall Out Boy, and Green Day.

"Self Control" during Quarantine with South Florida's 'The Carmics'

Engaging with creativity and music making during quarantine, The Carmics have released their debut music video for their sophomore track, “Kids.”

The Carmics released their track, "Self Control" in December 2019 and have been writing new music since their first song release. Previous to the COVID pandemic, the group were playing shows throughout Central and South Florida. They planned to debut their track, "Kids" at the end of March but recording stopped due to the pandemic. The group continues to write tracks for their upcoming album and are planning to release upcoming singles. The Carmics spoke with SoundBite Magazine about their recording process, favorite records, and provided advice for fellow musicians.

From touring with Twenty One Pilots on the Bandito tour, to announcing his album and tour, Gold Rush, Max Frost has had a busy year. This is not new to Frost. In 2013, he began releasing music on Soundcloud. He decided that he wanted to pursue music as a career, so he left school. Tragically, his guitar and hard drive with all of his music were stolen. This led to him losing motivation, until his song “White Lies” began blowing up on Soundcloud. Atlantic Records found him through this track, and the rest is history.

Fort Lauderdale’s Culture Room was rocked by Indie-Pop band lovelytheband from California. Lovelytheband had the venue lit with blue, red and yellow neon headlights that was shone on the crowd, along with thumping beats, melodic lyrics and guitar riffs. 'Make me feel pretty" was the opening song on the setlist of the show, with its upbeat beach boy vibe. Shaking up the crowd with the song 'emotions', allowing the lyrics to run through your veins. Blue and pink headlights are being moved in various of directions as arms are tossed up into the air as your head starts to bob to the beat.

As the riff of ‘Scream’ starts to play through the crowds ear drums, the ladies closest to the barriers starts to sing the lyrics along with Ash Costello, the Lead singer. The band has a high end interacting energy that every fan loves with their favorite bands. During New Years Day set, the lead guitar and bassist, Austin Ingerman and Nikki Misery went out in to the crowd and rocked out with fans within the sides of the venue, as Ash Costello sung her heart out. For the Final Song, Defame Me was a highly intense crowd interacting song, which the chorus was sung loud and proud with Ash Costello. New Years Day is a band that does not disappoints when it comes to a studio and live version of their songs. New Years Day knows how to get the crowd moving and rocking out with the band. After their set ended, they announced to the crowd they were going to be on the side of the venue having a meet and greet with each and every fan that was interested with having a photo, signed merch or a simple chat with the band. The way the Band interacts with their fanbase is inspiring and no matter how well-known their reputation become, they will remain humble and always interact with their fans.

Lange first came to the scene when he released his debut album, “Awe Owe” in 2009 through Asthmatic Kitty. Since then, Lange has released six albums and several EPs.

After an early success within their career, SWITCHFOOT gained their first mainstream recognition by contributing four songs the movie soundtrack, “A Walk to Remember.” This recognition led the band into receiving their first major record deal that led to their debut album, “The Beautiful Letdown” which featured their overall top hits “Meant To Live” and “Dare You To Move” and selling over 2.6 Million records. “Hello Hurricane” was their seventh album that received a Grammy award in 2011 for the Best Rock/Rap Gospel Album.
