The Black Crowes headlined LA Forum setting the stage for the return of Rock and Roll

The Black Crowes brought back Rock and Roll music to the Los Angeles’ the Forum for the very first time since the pandemic. Walk The Moon has performed at the venue before but this time the venue was sold out. In 2006, lead singer, Nicholas Petricca, created Walk The Moon, deriving their name from the Police’s song “Walking on the Moon.” In 2011, the band added Eli Maiman, completing their current roster. Interpol Turns On The Bright Lights In Nashville

Interpol emerged in the late 1990s in New York City and are one of the main contributors to the post-punk revival along with other bands such as The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, and The Libertines. The band founded by Paul Banks, Daniel Kessler, Sam Fogarino, and Carlos Dengler took over the scene in 2002 when they released their full-length debut, Turn On The Bright Lights. The album was well received all over the world and instantly became an indie classic. Interpol managed to differentiate themselves from their contemporaries thanks to its bass-driven hooks, Kessler’s guitar riffs and Banks’ gloomy lyrics and somewhat monotonous yet powerful melodies that only he can pull off.

Catfish and the Bottlemen’s third album, The Balance, will be out Friday, April 26 via Capitol Records. In the breaks between electrifying outdoor and festival shows in 2018, Van McCann (vocals, guitars), Johnny Bond (guitars), Robert “Bob” Hall (drums), and Benji Blakeway (bass) retreated with Irish producer Jacknife Lee (U2, The Killers) to carefully craft The Balance over a 12-month period. Recorded in seclusion at two locations – Grouse Lodge in Moate, Republic of Ireland, and The Chapel in the countryside of East Lincolnshire – the band lived and breathed the album while residing together in rural isolation. Wild Kitten in the House

Opening for Blue October at the Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas, LA based band Kitten, did not disappoint.  An Indy Rock band with a New Wave flave, the music was crazy and fierce.  Lead singer Chloe Chaidez is uber talented and is firecracker of a performer.  With handstands, flips into the crowd and the splits on stage, she managed to belt out amazing vocals as well as a costume change. Her high energy performance was infectious and fun.  With Blu de Tiger on bass, Rex de Tiger on drums, and Dave Stagno on guitar, the band was on point with it's Punky New Wavy sounds. Their latest album "Pink Champagne" is definitely one to be added to your Indy collection. And if you get a chance to see Kitten live, you will be on your feet and loving life. They killed it!
