Wild Kitten in the House

Opening for Blue October at the Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas, LA based band Kitten, did not disappoint.  An Indy Rock band with a New Wave flave, the music was crazy and fierce.  Lead singer Chloe Chaidez is uber talented and is firecracker of a performer.  With handstands, flips into the crowd and the splits on stage, she managed to belt out amazing vocals as well as a costume change. Her high energy performance was infectious and fun.  With Blu de Tiger on bass, Rex de Tiger on drums, and Dave Stagno on guitar, the band was on point with it's Punky New Wavy sounds. Their latest album "Pink Champagne" is definitely one to be added to your Indy collection. And if you get a chance to see Kitten live, you will be on your feet and loving life. They killed it!

Foster the People at House of Blues Houston

Foster The People took the stage Tuesday night at Houston’s House of Blues shortly following a rugged, garage-rock-grunge performance by opening act, Cherry Glazerr. Venturing down the road to be with those who missed their set a few days prior at Austin City Limits (or those simply wanting a second dose), the group came out strong with a hearty performance of Pay the Man off their new album Sacred Hearts Club and followed it shortly with Helena Beat, a tune from their 2011 album Torches.
