Welles to Headline The Moroccan Lounge and Space Bar San Diego

If grunge-rock guitar riffs are your thing, than Welles is your go-to-man. However, it didn’t necessarily start out this way.

Growing up in the small town of Ozark, Arkansas, singer/songwriter, Jesse Wells, originally spent his days on an artist compound. And while he struggled to make ends meet, the budding talent gained a fruitful education in all things J.D. Salinger, Apocalypse Now, and Led Zeppelin, as he rented books, music, and films from the local library.

But, what good was all this talent without an audience to share in the joy of creation?

For Wells, the answer to this question was all about setting the stage for success. A big move to Nashville, Tennessee served as a catalyst to the young artist’s career, and allowed Wells to spread his wings, grow a following, and put his musical wisdom to the test. And it was from here, that the band, Welles, was born.

Recording and mixing his debut album, Red Trees and White Trashes, with Grammy award winning producer, Dave Cobb (Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton),  and Grammy award winning mixer, Andrew Scheps (Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Adele, Hozier), Welles has since received much critical acclaim, making appearances at Bonnaroo and ACL, performing in AltNation's 2018 Advanced Placement Tour, and sharing the stage with the likes of Greta Van Fleet, Cage the Elephant, Rival Sons, and Royal Blood on sold out European dates.

Now, in the midst of his own headlining tour, fans across the United States have a chance to witness this talented twenty-three-year-old in all his psychedelic-grunge-rock glory.

Stops at The Moroccan (March 8), and The Space Bar San Diego (March 9) are must-see performances for California locals, so make sure to pick up your tickets here and get in on the fun!
