Visionary and founder of Brockhampton, Kevin Abstract, was a young teenager with ideas far more developed than some seasoned artists. After recruiting and establishing their initial members, the “Internet’s first boy band” has released a total of five albums in the past two years. Their rise and steady success was proven on their tour stop at the Fillmore Miami Beach to a packed venue.

In interviews, he speaks of most of his music career spent in different punk bands. From 2008 to 2013, he was drummer to a popular Vancouver punk/grunge trio off Suicide Squeeze Records as well as another grunge band that stemmed off afterwards. This isn’t Orville Peck’s first rodeo but nevermind his past projects for now because his present spotlight is currently striking gold and deserving of our full attention.

Searching to create something different, him and Martin decided to join forces and start a new project. The two of them went to Fisher’s cabin to write songs for several days and when they came back, they had written the whole album and proceeded to recruit members from local bands like The Weeks, Rayland Baxter, and Sol Cat for the recording process. The collaborative approach they had with their first album Love You, Mean It gave the record a unique sound.
