Sylvan Esso and Middle Kids stimulating performance at BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn

MIDDLE KIDS

Sydney's Middle Kids opened the show for Sylvan Esso in Brooklyn, New York. BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn hosts an array of summer concerts with diverse musical acts. Middle Kids enchanted audiences with their abundant stage presence and euphoric Indie Pop melodies. Their elated tracks attract listeners with their delightful hooks and swift vocals. The band members are Hannah Joy, lead singer, Tim Fitz, guitarist, and Harry Day, drummer. Middle Kids are currently on their United States tour, visit their Facebook page and website for more information.

SYLVAN ESSO

The anticipation leading up to the show was fueled by NPR’s Sylvan Esso: From The Echo Mountain Recording Sessions. In the premiered videos, Sylvan Esso is joined by their North Carolina artists and friends on a collaborative project of performing their songs with a full band for the first time. These raw videos are beautiful and capture the sheer talent that Amelia and Nick inhabit. NPR is releasing a video a day with all of the videos due out July 28th. Watch the videos here at: http://www.npr.org/series/146587997/all-songs-tv

From the moment Amelia walked on stage to the fuzzy introduction of their song “Sound,” the audience was filled with an intense feeling by Sylvan Esso’s elated presence. Amelia made eye contact with the audience and flashed them with her genuine smile. Bona fide adulation was projected throughout the night by their adoring fans.

I stood in the middle of the crowd surrounded by every type of fan you can think of. There were teens, middle aged men, moms with young kids, and dancing millennials. I caught glimpses of the people around me dancing and having a genuinely good time. The atmosphere that Sylvan Esso creates is enjoyable and authentic.
