A Night of Dancing With Walk the Moon

On one of the final nights of their winter tour, Walk the Moon performed at the Fillmore in Charlotte, North Carolina. Walk the Moon has performed at the venue before but this time the venue was sold out. In 2006, lead singer, Nicholas Petricca, created Walk the Moon, deriving their name from the Police’s song “Walking on the Moon.” In 2011, the band added Eli Maiman, completing their current roster. They went on to write chart topping singles such as “Shut Up and Dance,” “Kamikaze,” and “One Foot.” They also contributed to the new Ghostbusters movie with a rendition of the beloved title track.

The show kicked off with the song “Lisa Baby” which transitioned to the anthem “Different Colors.” Rainbow lights flashed around the stage and fans were mesmerized. They then sang the hit song “One Foot,” and not a soul in the building was standing still.

The show was just getting started. After performing a few of their older songs, the band sang their new single “Timebomb.” The beginning of this song immediately got the crowd jumping. The energy during this song was unbeatable. They then did an impromptu cover of “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen, followed by their catchy version of “Ghostbusters.”

Walk The Moon gave Charlotte an unforgettable Friday night. Throughout the show, the band had the crowd completely in the palm of their hands. It was obvious that many of the fans viewed them as more than just a band. The show meant more than just a night out, it was a full on magical experience for everyone in the room. They will be hitting a few more states before they wrap the winter tour up in Knoxville, Tennessee on February 17th
