STRFKR's Florida Tour at the Miami Beach Bandshell

 

STRFKR are currently on their nationwide tour. The group will be performing several tour dates during their stop in Florida. Their tour took place in St. Petersburg and Miami, Florida. STRFKR will continue their tour in Orlando, Florida on April 22nd and Pensacola, Florida on April 23rd. Along with local tour dates, the group will be playing at music festivals: Wonderfront Music Festival in San Diego, California and Levitation’s Austin Psych Festival in Austin, Texas. STRFKR will be performing their tour finale in their hometown of Portland, Oregon on August 11th.

During their tour to Miami, they performed at the outdoor amphitheater, Miami Beach Bandshell, in North Miami, Beach Florida. The Miami Spring night was breezy and warm which set the mood for a beachside concert experience. The music artists, Happy Sad Face, solo artist, and Valgur, a Synth-Pop group from Mexico, are on tour with STRFKR and opened the Miami Beach show. The audience was enamored by Valgur’s puzzling live performance. The musical duo, adorned in their dark cloaks, enacted a moving theatrical performance with their ethereal Synth=Pop music.

Afterwards, the stage was prepared for STRFKR’s upcoming performance, which audience members quickly gathered around the center stage to secure their spot for show. The group kicked off their set with a crowd favorite, ‘While I’m Alive,’ from their album, ‘Miracle Mile.’ Their fans danced, jumped, waved their hands in the air, and huddled amongst themselves swaying to STRFKR’s dance-pop music. The group performed a collection of electrifying songs from their classic albums, ‘Miracle Mile,’ ‘Being No One, Going Nowhere,’ and songs from their latest album, ‘Parallel Realms.’

Along with live music, STRFKR welcomed to the stage special guests, astronauts and mystical creatures. These costumes were worn by their back-up dancers who performed with the band by dancing and acting on stage. One of the astronauts was lifted into the audience and crowd surfed to the center. Once she reached a certain spot in the audience, she posed gracefully as the audience lifted her up tightly. She speedily returned to the stage and the show continued. STRFKR’s live performances are vibrant, colorful, and filled with surprises.
