WILCO
Chicago Rock group, Wilco, began their performance at around 9pm at the Fillmore in Miami Beach, Florida. The audience quickly crowded around the stage for the show. Grammy Award-winner Jeff Tweedy, lead singer of Wilco, walked onto the stage and the audience cheered. Tweedy acknowledged the audience and raised his hand in the air in solidarity while holding his guitar with the other. The group began their live performance with the track, ‘Wishful Thinking.’
The audience members were thoroughly engaged in Wilco’s live show. They swayed, sang along, and applauded throughout their set. Tweedy interacted with the audience and mentioned that he heard during Waxahatchee’s set, a patron was shouting out a Wilco song, ‘California Stars.’ Tweedy joked that they shouldn’t shout out other band’s song names during sets. He made the audience happy by performing, ‘California Stars’ during their encore.
Wilco performed a lengthy set of tracks from their various discography. The tracks ranged from experimental, political, and instrumental which provided a dynamic musical performance. The group will be on tour throughout the Fall of 20225. They will be performing various tour dates in the United States and Canada. Wilco will also be performing music festivals this year such as Outlaw Music Festival. For more information on Wilco and upcoming tour dates, visit their website.
