The Gilmour Project to perform at Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale on June 8th

The Gilmour project, a Pink Floyd cover band, will be making an appearance June 8th at Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Get your tickets here!

If you're wondering, yes, “Gilmour,” as in guitarist David Gilmour of Pink Floyd. The Gilmour Project incorporates musicians Jeff Pevar (CSN, Phil Lesh), Kasim Sulton (Todd Rundgren, Patti Smith), Prairie Prince (Todd Rundgren, The Tubes), Mark Karan (Bob Weir's RatDog, The Other Ones) & Scott Guberman (Phil Lesh); Taking the music of David Gilmour and Pink Floyd to places it has never gone before without disregarding the cherished classic hooks, licks & musical phrases. Straying from being a note-for-note tribute band they like Pink Floyd's originals, stick to improvisation, experimentation, and even sound design. Taking chances, but with a few more down-to-Earth elements including: blues, jazz, and country.

Intending to hit the live circuit in early 2020, the all-star band ran into some COVID-19 road blocks nevertheless, not letting that hold them back too long and re-surfacing in mid-2021. Hosting live-streaming events throughout the year and taking it to San Francisco’s legendary Great American Music Hall on June 24, 2021. Then, over Thanksgiving weekend in 2021, the band put on a stream cleverly- titled “holiday performance A Dark Slice”. Although 2022 started off with another set back, the Omicron variant threw the Project off track once more delaying their tour, requiring January shows to be postponed.

But not for long! Staring early May they kicked off various tour dates in North America, capping it all in Mexico City June 11th. Never forgetting the greater purpose — to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Floyd’s The Dark Side Of The Moon. Dividing the concert into two sets focusing first on the anniversary originally performed in January 1972 at the Brighton Dome UK, a full 14 months before the release of this now legendary album. The second half of the performance brings a new take to various classics from David Gilmour’s/Pink Floyd. With only six stops left, you still have a chance!
