Homegrown Fest

There’s something about supporting local companies and startups that make Miami events even more special. This year was the first ever HomeGrown festival- an event that supports everything 305 related. From Miami’s best food, up and coming local bands to our best breweries around town!

Aside from fantastic beers, I had absolutely to die for food like vegan dumplings from El Wooden Spoon that were drool worthy, mango from Mango Mania that was coated in local honey (YUM), a fresh tuna poke bowl from Latin House Grill with lots of sauce, and a rice bowl I could see myself eating every day for the rest of my life. Yes, I tried all of that!

An amazing opening by Oigo and SunGhosts to kick off the day; The crowd was enjoying the music, food and occasional beer refill. Children were running around, dancing and enjoying miniature golf! There was plenty to keep occupied with throughout the day.

The outside stage featured Oigo, Shira Lee, Aaron Lebos, Vikina, and Indie Folk/Americana singer Keith Johns were all part of the bill. The main stage highlighted SunGhosts, Shenzi, Robbie Elias, Bachaco, Problem Kids, Suénalo and Kat Dahlia.

The dimly lit and cool lounge (the Tiki Tiki Room) introduced Neopolitan, Erotic Exotic and The Galactic Effect.

Local craft vendors were featured displaying beautifully hand-crafted artwork, jewelry, clothing items and home goods!

Homegrown will continue to grow and expose Miami's best local favorites as well as come out with several new and exciting events very soon *stay tuned.*
