Keane's sold-out Los Angeles show at the Greek Theatre during their Hopes and Fears 20th Anniversary tour

Keane performed a sold-out show at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, California during their ‘Hopes and Fears’ album anniversary tour. The album was released on May 10, 2004 and their tour is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the album’s release. The group will be touring throughout the United States this Fall. They will continue their month-long tour this September in San Diego, California and ending their tour on September 26th at the Anthem in Washington. Keane will continue their Fall tour in the United Kingdom in October and in South America in November.

Despite the heatwave occurring in Los Angeles, music fans arrived early and packed the music venue for the highly anticipated show. Tickets for Keane’s concert date at the Greek Theatre went on sale last year and were quickly purchased by their fans. Looking around the venue, onlookers experienced an iconic venue filled with devoted fans. Keane walked onto the stage around 9:00 pm as the stage lights were dimmed. The stage lights rested on the band as they walked to their instruments.

Lead singer, Tom Chaplin, had his arms wide open to the audience with a large smile. He mentioned to the audience that this was Keane’s third time performing in Los Angeles. The band were ecstatic to be back to the musical city. Chaplin encouraged the audience to sing, dance, and clap along to their songs. Keane performed various tracks from ‘Hopes and Fear’s along with their discography such as ‘Under the Sea,’ ‘Perfect Symmetry,’ and more!

Chaplin provided a background on several of Keane’s songs before they were performed live. He asked the audience to applaud for bandmate, Tim Rice-Oxley, who wrote many of Keane’s songs. Towards the end of the show, Tom Chaplin expressed his gratitude for the audience’s engagement and mentioned it was a beautiful experience filled with laughter, joy, and more! He celebrated the close of their concert with a live performance of ‘Somewhere Only We Know,’ which the crowd gleefully sang along to.
