Role Model embarks on his “Tourx 2022” World Tour

ROLE MODEL

American Pop singer and songwriter, Tucker Pillsbury, also known as Role Model, began making music in college and was quickly noticed after the 2017 release of his debut EP, “ARIZONA IN THE SUMMER.” “Stolen Car” easily became a fan favorite and was even discovered by the late Mac Miller. Miller flew Pillsbury to Los Angeles, California and opened a few doors for him to kickstart his career. “Mac was the first person to see me as an artist,” he mentioned in an earlier interview.

Earlier this year, Role Model announced his Northern, Southern American, and European tour soon after releasing his single “if jesus saves, she’s my type.” The tour was set to begin on April 13th in Pomona, California following the release of his debut album, “Rx,” with stops in New York, Vancouver, London, Manchester and more.

THE BLSSM

Earlier this month, Role Model performed at Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with THE BLSSM as the tour’s opening act. Fans lined up for a meet and greet before the show and doors opened at 7:00 PM. They awaited eagerly outside the venue before settling into the pit area and locking in their spots for the evening. THE BLSSM is a Los Angeles based artist from Sydney, Australia and was named one of Pigeons & Planes’ artists to watch in 2022’. Their debut EP, “97 BLOSSOM” was released in April 2021, produced with some of the Brockhampton members, and tackles subjects like depression, anxiety, and gender. This year they released their sophomore EP, “PURE ENERGY” and that’s exactly what they brought on stage that night. They wore a pleated skirt, knee high socks and what resembled a disheveled schoolgirl fit to match the Punk-like feel that sometimes flared through their signature Pop sound.

Role Model went on around 9:00PM and opened with his track, “Introduction.” He went on to play favorites songs such as, “die for my bitch,” “stripclubmusic,” “rx,” and more. He ecstatically mentioned how this was his first headlining tour and how much that meant to him. At some point in the show, he noticed that a few fans had some gifts for him. Some made custom cowboy hats, shirts, beaded necklaces, signs, and one fan even gave him a bouquet of flowers which he excitedly accepted.
