One of the stops for The Menzingers' Tour 2018 was CrossRoads in Garwood NJ for 3 consecutive  sold out dates. But we would expect that from them with their energy on stage and unbelievable punk/indie vibes.  We attended their show on March 8th supported by Mercy Union and Shannen Moser, as each date at this venue had different support acts.

Day 1 of globe trekking festival Air + Style kicked off in spectacular fashion with the skies clearing before doors and the LA skyline providing the perfect backdrop for an invigorating day of music and sport. Fresh from his third Olympic gold medal win in South Korea, festival owner and host Shaun White brought together some of the world's most dynamic snowboarders and skateboarders, along with Zedd who brought the house down with his high energy headlining set, capping off a day of great performances from D.R.A.M, Cashmere Cat, Mura Masa, Wet, Cut Copy and more

We all could feel the love last Tuesday at The Charleston Pour House. With Bubba Love, El Dub and TreeHouse! on the bill, the crowd was in for a treat. They all rotated their acts so we could hear them all play more than once.

Ernest Greene better known as his pseudonym “Washed Out” is a music producer who has become one of the vanguards for the chillwave movement. Chillwave is a movement formed of mellow sound with hints of psychedelia combining electronic music and indie that surged in the late 2000s. The lyrics usually feature themes of escapism and nostalgia.

It was exciting.....electric! The mood in the building was a buzz. Our host for the evening was Mike Garson. Mr. Garson, 72 and the keyboardist, is at the center of Celebrating David Bowie, a touring collective of former Bowie band members and guest singers who include Bernard Fowler, a singer with the Rolling Stones and Joe Sumner, the lead singer, bassist for the Fiction Plane and Stings son. 

This sold out show at The Echo, Shallou's first time headlining a concert in LA, was long overdue. Remixes of songs from Odesza, Flume, and Kanye West kept the set fresh, and a surprise appearance by Riah to sing on their collaboration, Lie, kept the crowded room on their toes.

Sunday nights are usually reserved for catching up on HBO shows or doing last minute laundry before the start of the workweek. However, I got to spend mine in a much more exciting way at NYC’s Mercury Lounge, with Fayetteville, Arkansas based indie-alternative band Brother Moses.

What’s Indie Rock without a little Pop? “That’s the way it goes” when listening to musics new best friend: Hippo Campus. Hippo Campus is a peachy band, from St Paul, Minnesota, consisting of 4 dudes who radiate positive energy into their sea of fans. The fans absorbed the vibes as they uncontrollably bounced around to the beat of the sound.
