COIN draws huge crowd for first night of Paradise of Thought Tour in Orlando, Florida

Kicking off their 2019 Paradise of Thought tour, COIN filled the Beacham in Downtown Orlando on Tuesday night. Exactly one year after preforming at the same venue for their previous tour, Florida fans were thrilled to find out COIN would be returning to Orlando at the start of this year. Fans started waiting in line at 7 am in order to secure their spots on the barricade and one fan had driven all the way from Tennessee to see the first night of tour with her friends.  Another couple shared a story about how they met at the previous COIN show a year earlier and were now returning to celebrate their anniversary as a couple. Every person in line had a different story as to how COIN had connected them to so many other people who love the band. It’s clear that the fanbase has turned more into a family than anything else.

Opening act Tessa Violet was absolutely incredible opening with her hit single “Crush” that has over 13 million streams on Spotify. Starting off as a youtuber known by Meekakitty and growing to a point where she sells out headlining shows, Tessa Violet is a force to be reckoned with. She knows how to connect with every crowd member, whether they’ve been listening to her for years or are just hearing her for the first time.

With the Beacham packed wall to wall with passionate fans and the pre-show playlist getting the crowd hyped, the band came bounding out with an excitement that managed to exceed the crowd’s energy. Lead singer, Chase Lawrence, made it clear from the beginning that this show would be setting the tone for the rest of the tour. Opening with their hit single,  I Don’t Want to Dance, people could feel the floor moving on the second level of the Beacham from fans dancing in the pit.

After one of their newest releases, Cemetery, the band debuted a brand new song titled “Crash My Car.” Although this tune had a more chill vibe than their more known tracks, it was incredibly well received by the crowd.

One of the most heartfelt moments of the night was during a stripped down version of “I Would.” Almost every fan in the pit held up signs that said, “We’re Home,” a homage to the band’s use of the phrase “Welcome Home” whenever they were promoting their new music this year. Bringing lead singer Chase Lawrence to tears, there was no better way for fans to show COIN how much they meant to everyone there. Ending the night was Talk Too Much and Fingers Crossed, two fan favorites that left the crowd screaming the lyrics louder than any crowd the Beacham has seen before.

It is clear that this is COIN’s best tour yet. With new music and a new energy, COIN has grown even more than previously thought possible. The Paradise of Thought tour is just beginning and it has an energy unlike any other band that has toured.
